His photographic adventure begins in Paris in 2001.
Pavel Lavrynovicz was born in Poland in 1976. At the age of 25, in the middle of pursuing a successful acting career he heard a calling to look for a deeper meaning of life beyond materialism. Following this call he decided to leave his country, arrived in Paris and soon after begins to learn photography from one of his autodidact friend.
From the very beginning Pavel decided to work with a film camera, Rolleiflex 6×6 (cm) and still develops his films as well as the prints personally in a darkroom.
Working for three years with model agencies in Paris and Prague he developed his skill as a photographer and learnt about the nuances of exposure, composition and manual printing. As time passed, his inner voice became louder and he decided to embark on a journey to discover the true meaning of life which eventually brought him to India.
At this point his photography naturally evolved to take a more journalistic approach with a touch of romanticism as Pavel is interested in beauty that surrounds him in the lands he visits as well as the people he meets.
